It's been a busy and conference filled few weeks for PoLR what with Think Visibility and now the FOWD tour but well worth the long drives and early mornings to hear from some of the experts in web design and SEO.

The FOWD tour was fantastic for the design team to get along to as not only were there some great presentations (listed below) but there was a 1/2 hour speed networking session where we had the chance to meet other attendees whom we might never have got chatting to otherwise. I thought the speed networking was an excellent addition to an event like this as it's so easy to just stick with who you arrived with at these events!

Talks we enjoyed were:

  • ‘Making your content discoverable with Microformats’ by Drew McLellan
  • ‘Keyboard Access Essentials’ by Patrick Lauke
  • ‘The Future of HTML 5′ by Bruce Lawson
  • ‘Design, Release, Iterate: The Importance of Acting on Feedback’ by Colin Hewitt
