Advertising Online – it’s the way to go!
We have been blogging a lot recently about advertising through the recession and why it’s important to keep the momentum (and search positions!) up when times are tough. We’ve shown you loads of example of why but its nice to see some figures to back it up.
A new report from the IAB (in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Advertising Research Centre) does just that. They found that in 2008 advertising online has increased to a market share of 19.8% and currently accounts for £1 in every £5 of marketing budgets (through paid search, classifieds etc).
It would seem from these figures that companies are really starting to take notice of online advertising and see it’s benefits. If you consider that the same report showed that spending online had increased £540 million year-on-year you can see why online advertising is starting to look very attractive! Ot should also make the idea of an e-commerce website that little nit more appealing.
If you’re not persuaded by those figures then why not read some more of our articles below and find out the benefits of online advertising, the value of design and get some inspiration from Kellog’s and Pizza Hut!
