Apple iPhone 3G UK Release Date Announced
So after a slight false start last year Apple tonight announced the release of their new iPhone with 3G capabilities. Reported to have “three times faster” broadband, the new iPhone is well placed to rival the likes of other smartphones such as Blackberry. Having also learnt from last years mistake there is a competitively priced £100 – £200 pricetag which should ensure a decent number of sales and should help Apple reach it’s 10million+ sales estimate.
In reference to last years iPhone, it has been reported that 98% of iPhone users are using their phones for browsing. It would seem that the new iPhone has a function for every aspect of your life!
Use the GPS to get yourself to the nearest Starbucks, check your bank balance while in the queue (to make sure you can afford that skinny muffin), jump onto Facebook to update you status, “x is now in Starbucks”, listen to a little iTunes while waiting for the barista to fix your fix and once in your seat, keep yourself busy emailing, texting and YouTubing it while so you don’t look like a Norman no mates. Who needs socialising when you’ve got the iPhone!
With the release date of the 11th July it will be a few weeks yet before us mere mortals can get our hands on it to give it a test so it looks like there’s another month at least of having to be sociable – might just skip the Starbucks for a few weeks and stick to lusting after it on the good old Net instead
