5 Points to ponder before getting your website redesigned.

We all know what it’s like to live with something and being to get tired of after a while – it’s why my first flat was re-painted 6 times in three years and why I’ve never been able to grow anything from seed (I get bored before the seedlings have even emerged!).

Recently we wrote an article on why it was not always necessary to rebrand or completely redesign your online presence and it led to this post. Obviously there are some reasons why a complete overhaul is necessary for example:

Social media – the modern day grapevine

I hate to begin a post with this phrase but needs must and all that so here goes and I apologise in advance…

Eeee, when I were a lass, there was no such thing as a t’internet let alone a computer (or two, or four) in every house. Gossip was carried out by my Mother and her friends via the back fence, the Young Wives Club and the local coffee shop. Boy did that gossip spread like wildfire and I swear it would put Twitter and Stumble to shame.

How does that relate to this post?

Well, much in the way that while gossiping over the back fence required a beautifully tendered lawn, so too does the spreading of your company reputation or brand online (with the lawn being your online presence of course!) Read more…

Having your branding recognised is undoubtedly one of the most sought after aspects of growing a business. For people to recognise you is extremely beneficial when they come to make a purchasing decision, suddenly they think “I need that service, who provides it?”

If you’ve managed to expose them to your brand beforehand or on more than one occasion then you have a good shout for being in their minds when they are looking to go with the provider of that service (or product). Read more…
