If you run a blog you will know exactly what I am referring to when I say the phrase blog-block…it’s like writer’s block but with blogging. It happens to us all and can cause a lot of stress as the more you try the stronger the block becomes.

I was catching up on my blog reading over the Christmas break and came across an interesting article over at ProBlogger called ‘69 questions to ask to review your blog‘ by Darren Rowse. As the PoLR blog has been up and running for a year now I thought it was high time it got the once over or more appropriately, spring cleaned for 2009.
The particular point that grabbed my attention was ‘Which posts had the most traffic in 2008? Why do you think that was? ‘ Obviously, results are monitored regularly but Jan 09 is the first time PoLR can review a full year of results in one fell swoop and well, it’s quite exciting in a geeky kind of way. I upgraded to wordpress 2.7 today after its release in December and have been immediately impressed with it’s clean new admin interface and features. The reason for the dramatic over-haul was the result of feedback from thousands of users who responded to polls, test etc and over 150 coders contributing to the new release.
I think it’s a huge improvement over the older versions but what do you think? Read more…
