RotW : Serendipity

A week seems to pass incredibly quickly in the PoLR offices and it doesn’t feel like five minutes since we were looking for random words last week for this new blog theme. Well, five minutes have indeed passed (more like 7 days) and it’s time for take two.

This weeks bit of Friday fun comes from Craig Dearden (@thegreenwelly) with the suggestion of ‘serendipity’.

I’ll freely admit I have a reasonably unhealthy obsession with Alan Partridge. This was reignited after a visit to see Steve Coogan live at the SECC in early December, he was absolutely fantastic with a performance including all of his old favourite characters and then onto the greatly anticipated Partridge after the intermission.

Wisdom (I’m using this term loosely) departed

I had prepared a couple of presentations for my workshop at the Whiteinch Community Centre for the Glasgow West Regeneration Agency, however when I got there I decided that it may be more engaging if I were just to talk a little about what PoLR do and to run through some of the reasons to opt for digital advertising as an important element of business promotion. In general I spoke about the very basics: What type of website you can have and why it may be applicable to your products / services.
