There have been many examples of social media antics that have brought companies reputations into the firing line and very recently there was yet another clanger (more about that in a minute). In this case it was slightly different from the ‘Facebook slaggings’ that have previously caused issues for employers (think of Virgin Atlantic staff who called customers “chavs” (amongst other things) or the Argos employee who was sacked for commenting on his Facebook), in this case it was a legitimate account and acknowledged by the company to have come from an employee.
