E-commerce – it’s more than just selling books online!

e-commerceTraditionally, (or as much as we can use the word traditional in reference to the web) we view e-commerce as the act of selling a physical product on the web. Like Amazon selling books or Boots the chemist selling toothpaste.

However, we often forget that e-commerce encompasses several other variations of selling and does not have to refer to an actual product. It is about trading information online to open up communication through as many difference channels as possible (but always with the hope of a sale later on).Read more…

Avoid the business hearse, go ecommerce!

A report was published today by the Office for National Statistics showing that internet access in the home is on the increase. It states that so far in 2008, 16 million UK households have internet access which is an increase of just over 1 million form 2007. Also, up from 51% to 56% is the number of households with access to a broadband connection.Read more…
